Seeing Others Through the Lens of God’s Love

In our daily lives, we often encounter people who seem irritable, harsh, or consistently unkind. Some may lash out with cold attitudes or sharp words, and if we’re not careful, we can react emotionally and make things even worse.

But when we begin to see others through God’s perspective, through the lens of His love, something begins to change within us. We start to understand that these people often act out of deep pain, past wounds, or a lack of love in their lives. Their behavior is not always because they are bad, but because of burdens or brokenness that we cannot see.

God, however, sees it all. And He loves every single person deeply and unconditionally. He is always near, desiring to lead each of us into a life of healing, purpose, and hope.

When we receive that amazing, warm love of God into our own hearts, it transforms us. We become vessels of His love, able to see even the most difficult people through His eyes. Instead of reacting to their harshness, we begin to respond with grace, patience, and compassion. We become instruments of His love—even in the most trying circumstances.

And yes, there are times when we ourselves may act coldly or harshly, overwhelmed by our own struggles. But even then, if we turn our eyes back to God and choose to see life through the lens of His love, He restores us. He helps us love again. He helps us live again.

Life can be confusing and painful at times, shaped by the words and actions of others. But when we are anchored in God’s love, we are no longer tossed around by the world—we become carriers of His unshakable light.

“We love because He first loved us.”

— 1 John 4:19 (NIV)
