The Cup of the Heart and Grace

There are times in life when we feel sorrow. Unexpected changes in circumstances, partings with others, changes in environment… Our hearts can become caught up in these events, and without realizing it, the weight of them lingers within us.

However, if our hearts are constantly swayed by external situations or the words and actions of others, we cannot fully express the true strength and brilliance that God has given to each of us.

That is why it’s important to pause for a moment, let go of the “negative thoughts” within, and open our hearts to God’s grace and hope.

When we fill the “cup” of our hearts with God’s words of love and His promises full of blessing, our inner selves are transformed. Eventually, that love and blessing begin to overflow, influencing those around us as well.

The seed of God’s love within you will grow greatly, and you yourself will be used as a vessel of blessing.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

— Romans 15:13
