Even in the course of just one day, God is at work, advancing His marvelous plans. That’s why, when we wake up each morning, we must reset our hearts toward Him and focus again on the work He is doing.
No matter the situation or environment, God’s work never stops. Every single day, God gives you something you can do. And those small acts of obedience connect to His greater plans. When we believe that even the smallest actions are part of something much larger—something beyond what eyes have seen or minds imagined—we can face each day with purpose.
Take David from the Bible as an example. Long before he became king or faced Goliath, he was just a shepherd faithfully protecting his sheep. Every day, he practiced with his sling—not because he expected to fight a giant someday, but simply to be the best he could in the small role he was given.
No one saw the value of his training. But one day, David was asked to deliver lunch to his brothers on the battlefield. A small, mundane task. And it was there that the moment of breakthrough came—Goliath appeared, and David used the very skill he had practiced quietly for years to bring victory.
David didn’t train with a future battle in mind—he was simply faithful with what he had. But God used that very faithfulness to open a great door and lead him into a completely new life.
In the same way, God is working in your life. You may feel that what you’re doing today is small or even meaningless—but God weaves every small act into His greater purpose. You might not see the impact now, but nothing is wasted in God’s hands.
So today, when you wake up, turn your focus to God once again. Trust that He is leading you, and give your all—even in the small things. God will use you, and through your life, His work will continue to unfold in powerful ways.
“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.”
—Luke 16:10 (CSB)
